Jogja is well known creative city. And one of my favorite is creative sharing event. Just like the picture above. Around 50 peoples listened the presentation about sustainable design from Mr. Singgih Kartono, owner of Magno Design. Singgih is world class designer. Don’t believe it?

Well, Singgih did make it with his Magno radio, the wooden radio. Singgih chooses wood for his radios not just based on aesthetics but on his appreciation of wood’s simplicity and organic vitality. The Magno radio that he design combines the most current mp3 player compatible electronics with sustainably grown woods. And as result, he also won the Design Museum Product’s Award 2009 in London. Cool huh?
